PRIVATE CLIENT LAWYER - 3 - 15 PQE- HONG KONG - Hong Kong
Our client is a major international firm with a substantial capability across all areas of law. Their reputation is as a truly global firm with a significant offshore reach. The next step in their progress is the appointment of a high-calibre Private Client/Trust lawyer in their established and successful Hong Kong office. This role would be as the principal lawyer in this legal area for the office but with support as necessary from lawyers in other locations. The profile for the right candidate is necessarily broad as the key is both the technical skills necessary and the right personality to take this role forward and develop the private client capability of the office. Lawyers of at least 3 years’PQE will be considered, up to a senior level. Candidates should have gained good experience in a leading London, national or international/offshore firm. Ideally you will have trained with a good London firm and must also be qualified as a Solicitor in a Commonwealth jurisdiction. Good trust knowledge is needed as trusts will be the emphasis of the work. Unit trust experience will be an advantage but is not required. Solid tax and general private client experience are also sought. A good understanding of international/offshore work would be useful but may not be essential for strong candidates. No following is required as the firm has sufficient work, although more senior lawyers should have evidence of strong client contacts at a minimum.
